Weekly Reflection Questions

9th October 2020

This is the start of my school project blog, the project is about raising money for our school Charity that our school supports "Vinnies".

I have come up with the idea to make my own muesli and sell it hoping to make a lot of money for the charity. Today in class we learnt about making profit.

Aiden a friend in class wasn't sure what to do so joined me on my project. which i was really happy about he had lots of ideas also.

23rd October 2020

Today we brainstormed a name for our muesli company. And we came up with the name "The Muesli Bros".

Also today our teacher taught us about unit cost

30th October 2020

Today I designed our logo for our company, I really enjoyed designing it.

Aiden had a great idea in sending out a survey form to see who would be interested in buying our muesli. We completed this today and it got emailed to all the teaching staff.

6th November 2020

Prep class  today we worked out approximately our profit from looking at cost of our ingredients. We will definitely be making a profit!

We decided a pre ordering system would be a good idea for us, so can start to sell our product now.

13th November

Today we did a spreadsheet on costs of all our ingredients and if we would make a profit.  We went to the cooking class and made our muesli then delivered it to teachers that had brought it off us.

20th November

Today I only had one block of Prep as I did a gardening project the rest of day. So for prep I did a check list so we are organised for market day. And I also did a ingredients list so people could see what is in our muesli.

27th November

Miss Stonehouse taught us about market day terms, she also gave us a market day checklist to make sure we are on task and ready for next week's market.

I also finish designing Prep money.

Term 4 summary

I've been at Wainui beach school for six years! And this is my very last term. I'm going to tell you all about my favourite things we have done this term.

So at the very start of the term we looked at countries and cultures. We called this Culture city we have worked on this all of the term.  We have to research about dance, drama, music and visual art of that country. My favourite country I've done was Mexican, because you have to do a paper person about your country when your finished researching. My paper doll was a funny taco guy.

We also did really fun athletics this term. There is four fun sports activities, sprints, high jump, long jump and ball throw. My favourite activities are sprints, high jump and long jump. I came second for my first sprint race, then I came third and fifth. I think I did pretty well at sprints but I didn't end up making it into inter schools in any of the activities.
We also did a performance this term. It was a Kapa haka performance in front of loads of people. I'm in the fourth row, which is pretty close to the front. Here is a link to more of my Kapa haka blog post, CLICK HERE

Kapa Haka Festival

As we walked up the creaky steps, and on to the stage. We all got in to our rows. We were ready for the Turanganui kapa haka festival. The gatur started and we stepped forward. I pushed my chest back and my shoulders up and I felt strong.

The first song we sang was Tu Mai Ra and then we sung Haramai a paoa. After a couple more songs we finally got to the best song ever the haka! When the Haka was over I had red chests and red arms, we were all true warriors performing in front of hundreds of people pretty crazy it took us terms for us to finally finish our performance.

My favorite part of the performance was the haka because you can go as hard as you can and you can slap and shout.    It was pretty fun, I was trying my hardest.

My speech is going to be about your Tana tinana, taha tinana is fitness and healthy food for your body to keep you fit and healthy. The title of my speech will be fit for life, and I'm going to persuade the audience how fitness is better than gaming.

All Blacks On Tour!!!

Well this morning I woke up to a surprise! My mum told me that the all blacks were in town, and she said I was going to see them. Actually I knew that they were going to be in town but, I thought that I wouldn't be able to go as both my parents had to work today.  But lucky me, my friends Mum said she would take me, which was really kind of her.
When we arrived at Rugby park it was manic, swarming with people all waiting to see their heroes the All Blacks. The queue waiting to see them was crazy long it took half hour of being squished and poked and pushed!

There they were Dane Coles, Ardie Savea, Beauden Barrett and Tj Perenara, all of them right there! How amazing is that they came all the way to Gisborne. They gave us a signed poster. Thank you All Blacks for coming, GO THE ALL BLACKS!!!

My Fun Weekend Away To Rotorua

Hi again, this time I'm going to tell you about our weekend away to Rotorua. We were ready in the car,
all packed ready for a long four hours drive.

When we arrived to Rotorua we picked up my mum's new Liv embolden full suspension mountain bike. It's a really cool bike! After that we went to our hotel that we're staying in, It's called Holiday inn.

After we checked in we went mountain biking straightaway. The cool thing about the hotel is that you can ride from the hotel to redwoods to go mountain biking, which is really cool because it's much easier than driving there. When we arrived to redwoods we got on a shuttle to the top of the hill to get on to some of the trails that are hard to get up to because there's a big steep hill you have to rid up. When we got to the top we followed some people to the trail called Corners, it had really steep corners. After that trail we went up to the shuttle again, to a trail called eagle vs shark, a nice smooth trail with lots of berms and table tops. I think that's one of my favourites because it had a nice flow to it. It also had lots of table tops. At the end of Eagle vs Shark we went up the hill to ride B rude not 2 (it's actually how they spell it!) and it's fast flowing and a little bit of technical around the end, my mum really liked it on

her new bike.

After a yummy breakfast, we went to go mountain biking again. To do some different trails. Me and dad went up to do a trail called Grinder. Grinder was a grade 3-5, and it has gnarly drop-offs. After Grinder, we went down to a trail called Rosebank. A trail with uphills and downhills and it had a gnarly drop-off at the end that was about 3 feet.

I really can't wait to go to Rotorua again.
